Another chance for calendar input
Friday, Nov. 21, 2008

The Davis School District is continuing to seek input from residents regarding the recommended 2009-10 school year calendar for both traditional nine-month schools and year-round schools.

At this point, the proposal has received first-reading approval by the Board of Education, and will be considered for final approval when the board meets on Dec. 2.

Board gives first-reading approval to boundary recommendation
Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008

The Board of Education of the Davis School District gave first-reading approval Tuesday night to a proposal that changes junior high school boundaries in the northwest portion of the district.

The proposal, which received unanimous board approval, goes forward with board members asking the district's study group to again review enrollment numbers and future growth projections. That request followed comments from parents who want their children to remain at West Point Junior High School.

The board will consider giving final approval to the proposal when it meets Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Northridge High School. The boundary study is underway because of the addition of a new junior high school now under construction in west Layton. To view the recommended boundary maps, click here.
